Coffee Cake from a Cake Mix
This is a great cake to bring to a breakfast or brunch potluck.
- 1 cup Flour
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- ½ cup Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ cup Butter (cut to make it easier to blen)
- 1 package White or Yellow Cake Mix
- ½ cup Water
- 1 egg
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- ½ cup Oil
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Use pastry blender to combine flour, brown sugar, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and butter.
When combined it should apear crumbly.
Cover and store in refridgerator untilready to use. I usually make this the night before.
Coffee Cake Batter
Grease a 13 x 9 pan
Preheat oven to 350°.
With an electric mixer combine cake mix, water, egg, sour cream, oil and vanilla on low speed. Then beat for 1 minute on medium speed.
Sprinkle a half cup of crumble mixture on bottom of the pan.
Pour half of the batter over the crumble mixture and layer half of the crumble mixture on top.
Pour remaining batter over the mixture andput remaining crumble on top.
Cook for 30-33 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes and then serve.
